Web Development and Design Specialist Program Outcomes
These outcomes discuss the requirements for the 10-152-2 Capstone Project “Web Design and Development Specialist” AAS. These requirements were met during the Internship class and Final.
IT-Mobile Applications Developer Program Outcomes
These outcomes discuss the requirements for the 10-152-8 Capstone Project “IT-Mobile Applications Developer” AAS. These requirements were met during the Internship class and Final.
Implement a front-end user interface
As displayed on tyeggers.com – I learned during this course how to create an appealing front-end experience. A type of experience that incorporates a combination of elements, color, and readability. I demonstrate this the most on the home page of tyeggers.com.
Implement a back-end web applications
As displayed on tyeggers.com – I learned how to create databases and files to contain and organize information. I apply this on the tyeggers.com website by putting all my images in an organized “Images” folder – as stored on the GoDaddy/WordPress CMS.
Apply customer experience guidelines
As displayed on lunarecords.com – I display a professional tone in giving information to the audience. This was applied by maintaining a fun, yet clean, look to the website.
Integrate web data technologies
As discussed above, we learned a bit about databases and file organization. This was applied to the tyeggers.com website.
Build web-based software applications
This was not displayed nor needed on any website. During this course, we learned a little bit about PHP and JavaScript and how to implement it into our websites. However, this was not needed nor desired in any of my internship websites.
Develop project documents
As displayed on townofpulaski.gov – I learned about creating Point of Concept documents, as well as the documents needed for e-commerce websites. We also learned a little bit about budgeting. This was displayed on the Pulaski website through planning and editing PDFs for the town.
Gather mobile requirements
This learning outcome isn’t specific enough but I’m assuming it means gathering the resources to create a mobile application. Though this was something we had learned, it was not needed during the internship class.
Design mobile applications
During the mobile class, we learned about creating mobile applications with Android Studio. This was not applied to any internship projects.
Integrate mobile data technologies
Some mobile data technologies we integrated included PHP and React. These helped create databases.
Build mobile applications
During the mobile class, we learned about creating mobile applications with Android Studio. This was not applied to any internship projects.
Develop technical documentation for mobile applications
This was not taught during this degree. We were not taught anything related to writing documents specifically for mobile applications. However, during the Technical Writing class, we did learn a bit about writing Point of Concepts – which could be viable in creating a mobile application.
Implement current platform support
Knowing how to keep up with current platform updates is important. This was totally taught during this degree and we learned how to update and adapt to the latest technologies.
